Sharon A. Ko works part-time as the Program Assistant for LNESC KC Upward Bound. As the Program Assistant, she handles the data entry associated with student participation, oversight of social media accounts, assisting with summer program and college field trips, the monthly newsletter, and other daily office tasks.
In 2015, Sharon retired after a 17 year career as a Senior Marketing Associate for Copaken Brooks. Copaken Brooks is a full-service commercial real estate company that develops, leases, manages, owns, and sells numerous properties within Kansas City and across the United States. As a Marketing Associate, she coordinated meetings in their state-of-the-art conference center, organized tenant and office events, as well as, outside corporate events in their Rotunda, such as the Annual Holiday Mart that was held in their downtown location during December. Her role with Copaken Brooks allowed her to build a variety of relationships with local businesses, event vendors such as florists and caterers, and design companies.
Sharon is happiest when she is riding her Harley Trike, traveling with Will, or hanging out with her friends and her sister, DanNell. She also spends a lot of time with her daughter, Theresa, her grand-daughter, Miraha, and her two great grandsons, Lincoln and Roan, who all tease her about constantly talking to her dogs, Ponch and Beans, as if they’re people too.”
