Christopher “Chris” John Barrero relationship with LNESC-KC started as a volunteer with the Technology Center/Computer lab in 2010. By 2012 Chris transitioned from volunteer to employee holding Upward Bound Program Coordinator as his primary role before expanding his career to Investment Operations in May of 2013.
Prior to joining LNESC-KC Chris held multiple roles from Wendy’s Assistant Manager to Call Center Analyst. As an Iowa transplant in 2009, a passion to serve a greater purpose and unlock the potential of people in the Greater Kansas City area led Chris to LNESC-KC. Chris later became involved with the Young Latino Professionals of Greater Kansas City as a medium for expanding on community service impact. In 2016 Chris took a hiatus and lived in the New England before returning to the Kansas City area. Currently Chris serves on the Linwood YMCA Community Mission board and has answered the call to serve as Treasurer for Dan Adera-Odhiambo 2023 seat 1 campaign.
Chris completed his studies in Economics at the University of Missouri – Kansas City and currently resides in Blue Springs, MO with his wife Christina and three kids Raymond, Andrew and Elsa. Chris works as a Pricing/Product Manager for a local consulting firm with a laser focus on the Distribution industry.
