Making College Happen through Financial Aid

...of good books, the point is not how many of them you can get through, but ...how many can get through to you.

—Mortimer Adler, 1902–2001
Adler dropped out of high school, worked a low-level job for the New York Sun. Realizing he wanted to become a journalist, he took writing classes at night where he discovered Aristotle, Thomas Aquinas, and others. He went on to study philosophy at Columbia University and eventually given a teaching position
and awarded a doctorate
in philosophy.
